Description

Announcement: From January 2022 Genomics has become an open access journal. Authors who publish in Genomics will be able to make their work immediately, permanently, and freely accessible. Genomics is a forum for describing the development of genome-scale technologies and their application to all areas of biological investigation. As a journal that has evolved with the field that carries its name, Genomics focuses on the development and application of cutting-edge methods, addressing fundamental questions with potential interest to a wide audience. Our aim is to publish the highest quality research and to provide authors with rapid, fair and accurate review and publication of manuscripts falling within our scope. Topics within the scope of Genomics include, but are not limited to: Genomics including genome projects, genome sequencing, and genomic technologies and novel strategies. Simple reports of single-mitochondrial, chloroplast and bacterial strain variant genomes are no longer suitable. Functional genomics including transcriptional profiling, mRNA analysis, microRNA analysis, and analysis of noncoding and other RNAs using established and newly-emerging technologies (such as digital gene expression). Manuscripts analysing existing sequence data only are no longer suitable, unless adding new sequence data or a introducing a new algorithm for analysis. The algorithm must be made publicly available through a web page or as code. Evolutionary and comparative genomics, including phylogenomics. Genomic technology and methodology development, with a focus on new and exciting applications with potential for significant impact in the field and emerging technologies. Computational biology, bioinformatics and biostatistics, including integrative methods, network biology, and the development of novel tools and techniques. Modern genetics on a genomic scale, including complex gene studies, population genomics, association studies, structural variation, and gene-environment interactionso Epigenomics, including DNA methylation, histone modification, chromatin structure, imprinting, and chromatin remodeling. Genomic regulatory analysis, including DNA elements, locus control regions, insulators, enhancers, silencers, and mechanisms of gene regulation. Genomic approaches to understanding the mechanism of disease pathogenesis and its relationship to genetic factors, including meta-genomic and the mode and tempo of gene and genome sequence evolution. Medical Genomics, Personal Genomics, and other applications to human health. Application of Genomic techniques in model organisms that may be of interest to a wide audience. RNA-seq experiments without three or more biological replicates will not be accepted for differential expression-based articles. Systems Genomics, including cutting edge research on computational systems biology, discrete and continuous modelling and artificial intelligence that help infer novel insights from complex, dynamic and high throughput genomic datasets. Genomics primarily publishes original research articles but also welcomes proposals for full-length and mini reviews. All submissions to Genomics are subject to rigorous peer review and our goal is to accept only the top 25-30% of submitted manuscripts. Please contact the Editorial Office with review proposals or any inquiries regarding the scope of the journal or the suitability of a manuscript for publication. Announcement: From January 2022 Genomics has become an open access journal. Authors who publish in Genomics will be able to make their work immediately, permanently, and freely accessible. Genomics continues with the same aims and scope, editorial team, submission system and rigorous peer review.

Cotton Research Journal

eJournals
One of the early actions of ISCI has been the launching of a research journal to fill the vacuum created by the stoppage of predecessors like (a) the Indian Cotton Growing Review published by the Imperial Cotton Growing Corporation of UK and (b) the Indian Cotton Development Journal published by the Directorate of Cotton Development. For many decades, these journals had remained as vehicles for research findings on cotton production technologies in India. By 1970 both these journals ceased to appear. The inaugural issue of the ISCI Journal was published in January 1976, since then the periodical has witnessed increasing patronage from cotton scientists from all over India and abroad. By 1990s, the 6- monthly journal had transformed into a quarterly publication to accommodate the rising number of articles originating from ICAR institutes and agricultural universities in which government funded research programmes were on the increase.

Indian Journal of Fisheries

eJournals
The Indian Journal of Fisheries is published quarterly by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). Original contributions in the field of fish and fisheries science will be considered for publication in the Journal. The material submitted must be unpublished and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Journal of Soil Salinity and Water Quality

eJournals
The Journal (JSSWQ) was started in 2009 and since then biannual issues are being published regularly, June and December issues containing approximately 300 printed and online pages.
