Description

Aim – Current Opinion in Endocrine and Metabolic Research is an integrative short review journal that provides a unique and educational platform for updates on recent advancements in cutting-edge research in the fields of basic, translational and clinical endocrinology and metabolism. Each issue of the journal is thematic and composed of concise, commissioned reviews covering the most up-to-date developments in the topic. Papers reflect the wide range of multidisciplinary approaches that are used to investigate questions in this field. Scope – Areas of interest include (but are not limited to): Reproduction, Programming and Development Neuroendocrinology Cardiovascular Endocrinology Pituitary Adrenal Thyroid Calcium and Bone Obesity and Metabolism Nutrition Cytokines, Immunity and Inflammation Cellular Metabolism Cellular Mechanisms of Hormones Environmental Effects on Endocrine and Metabolic Systems Endocrine Disruptors Endocrine-Related Cancers Diabetes What Current Opinions in Endocrine and Metabolic Research publishes – COEMR distinctly publishes curated short review articles in a Special Issue format. Each Special Issue focuses on a specific area of research that has a broad appeal and falls within the aims and scope of the journal. Special Issues provide an opportunity to review a particular theme, examine previously unaddressed aspects, propose and develop new approaches, exchange perspectives and encourage new lines of research. Expertise & the Editorial Process – Editors and the Editorial Board bring the depth and breadth of their experience and expertise to our journal. Each Special Issue’s topic is facilitated and approved by the Co-Editors in Chief. The Editors in Chief work in tandem with the Editorial Board to select the most appropriate guest editors who are known experts in any given Special Issue’s topic. The vetted Guest Editors are then responsible for creating an author invite list, which is then reviewed and augmented via Editorial Board evaluation prior to the Guest Editor inviting the contributing authors. Once the papers for any of our curated short review Special Issues are received by COEMR the editorial staff determines their suitability for review. Submissions the editorial staff deems suitable for the special issue must then be sent for external peer review by the Guest Editor via Editorial Manager. Each submission must be reviewed by no fewer than two independent experts who assess the quality, originality, and novelty of the work. COEMR Guest Editors are not allowed to handle the review of their own contributions to ensure a thorough and fair review of their manuscripts. Guest Editors are not privy to the referees’ names or affiliations for any submission under consideration where a Guest Editor is a contributor. Guest Editors must declare a potential conflict of interest for any submission under consideration and inform the journal Editors who then determine the appropriate course of action. For additional information about the role and responsibility Guest Editors, please review the Elsevier Guest Editor Guide. Once the issue has been compiled with all articles accepted the Editors in Chief perform a final evaluation of the articles to ensure that they are of quality content and that the Guest Editors have properly facilitated the peer review process. Discoverability – Articles get high visibility and maximum exposure on an industry-leading platform that reaches a vast global audience. Current Opinion and Research – Current Opinion in Endocrine and Metabolic Research builds on Elsevier’s reputation for excellence in scientific publishing and long-standing commitment to communicating reproducible biomedical research targeted at improving human health. It is part of the Current Opinion and Research(CO+RE) suite of journals. All CO+RE journals leverage the Current Opinion legacy-of editorial excellence, high-impact, and global reach-to ensure they are a widely read resource that is integral to scientists’ workflow.

Cotton Research Journal

eJournals
One of the early actions of ISCI has been the launching of a research journal to fill the vacuum created by the stoppage of predecessors like (a) the Indian Cotton Growing Review published by the Imperial Cotton Growing Corporation of UK and (b) the Indian Cotton Development Journal published by the Directorate of Cotton Development. For many decades, these journals had remained as vehicles for research findings on cotton production technologies in India. By 1970 both these journals ceased to appear. The inaugural issue of the ISCI Journal was published in January 1976, since then the periodical has witnessed increasing patronage from cotton scientists from all over India and abroad. By 1990s, the 6- monthly journal had transformed into a quarterly publication to accommodate the rising number of articles originating from ICAR institutes and agricultural universities in which government funded research programmes were on the increase.
