The Journal of Agricultural & Food Information serves as a quarterly forum for the exchange and dissemination of research, knowledge, and innovative practice among those involved in the dissemination of food and agricultural information: librarians and information specialists, extension personnel, agricultural communicators, educators, database producers, government policymakers, consultants, and others. Columns and peer-reviewed contributions focus on the interface between information science and the fields of agriculture, food, and nutrition. Relevant topics include, but are not limited to: New information/communication technologies Electronic publishing Teaching/distance learning Information literacy/instruction Information needs/end-user concerns User outreach Database/research comparisons Collection management and preservation Collection analysis and use Cataloging and classification/subject ontologies Additional topics include: cooperative and networking efforts, digitization/preservation initiatives, data curation/management, library and special collection profiles, and topical/thematic bibliographies/webliographies.
