Description

The Journal of Steroid Biochemistry and Molecular Biology is devoted to new experimental and theoretical developments in areas related to steroids including vitamin D and lipids. The Journal is interested in functional analyses of signal transduction pathways, impact on molecular phenotypes, metabolic remodeling, and metabolomics of steroids. The Journal publishes a variety of contributions, including original articles, general and focused reviews, and rapid communications (brief articles of particular interest and clear novelty). Selected cutting-edge topics are addressed in Special Issues managed by Guest Editors. Special Issues contain both commissioned reviews and original research papers to provide comprehensive coverage of specific topics, and all submissions undergo rigorous peer-review prior to publication. Manuscripts relating to unsolved issues in genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, structural biology, steroid chemistry, cell biology, molecular medicine, translational research and clinical medicine, are encouraged. Furthermore, the Journal publishes results on functional association studies and ‘omics’ that are instrumental in our understanding of complex human diseases. Specific aims Studies on signal transduction pathways, functional annotation of genes and kinetics of metabolic pathways Analyses of mechanisms underlying homeostasis in health and disease Provision of steroid-related tools, synthesis and analysis methods, and reference data Creation of enduring and validated resources for metabolomics and systems biology analyses Enhancement of our understanding, and the development of approaches to study the interplay between the environment, genomes, metabolism and disease

Cotton Research Journal

eJournals
One of the early actions of ISCI has been the launching of a research journal to fill the vacuum created by the stoppage of predecessors like (a) the Indian Cotton Growing Review published by the Imperial Cotton Growing Corporation of UK and (b) the Indian Cotton Development Journal published by the Directorate of Cotton Development. For many decades, these journals had remained as vehicles for research findings on cotton production technologies in India. By 1970 both these journals ceased to appear. The inaugural issue of the ISCI Journal was published in January 1976, since then the periodical has witnessed increasing patronage from cotton scientists from all over India and abroad. By 1990s, the 6- monthly journal had transformed into a quarterly publication to accommodate the rising number of articles originating from ICAR institutes and agricultural universities in which government funded research programmes were on the increase.

Indian Journal of Fisheries

eJournals
The Indian Journal of Fisheries is published quarterly by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). Original contributions in the field of fish and fisheries science will be considered for publication in the Journal. The material submitted must be unpublished and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

The Indian Journal of Agricultural Sciences

eJournals
A journal devoted to experimental agriculture and abstracted by all the major abstracting services. It includes articles on cytology, genetics, breeding, agronomy, soil science, horticulture, water use, microbiology, plant diseases and pest, agricultural engineering, economics and statistics with emphasis on original articles, from India and countries having similar agricultural conditions.
